2016 Nissan Maxima
Forget everything you thought you knew about sedans, and prepare to be blown away by the newest and most advanced Nissan Maxima ever. The original 4-door sports car returns in an all-new package that includes a redesigned 3.5-liter V6, a longer and sleeker body design, and improved handling all around. The new 2016 Nissan Maxima is race-inspired, but also packs in more luxury, comfort and style than any other car in its class. This is the new standard for performance sedans, designed and built with the driver in mind. Here at DeLand Nissan we’ve been eagerly anticipating the new Maxima, and now that it’s here we can truly say it’s been worth the wait.

Unmatched Style and Design

The all-new Maxima for 2016 maintains the dramatic and sporty elegance of its heritage, while gaining a sleeker and edgier look. This is due to an increase of more than two inches in length and a profile that’s 1.3 inches lower than the previous version. In addition, there’s a more chiseled front fascia and more defined angles and bodylines. Finally, thanks to the blacked-out pillars the roofline of the new Maxima appears to be floating above the car in a dramatic stylistic touch. The result is a sculpted profile that’s both aggressive and artistic.

Performance that Thrills and Inspires

While the 3.5-liter engine is the same size powerplant that has propelled previous Maxima versions, this newest iteration has been thoroughly redesigned. More than 60% of the engine’s components are new, and are unique to this year’s Maxima. That includes sodium-filled exhaust valves, anodized pistons, and a high-flow tuned induction system. There’s also an all-new suspension, including monotube dampers in the rear and increased torsional rigidity. The result is a 300-horsepower thrill-ride that corners better than many sports cars. And when you add in the newly reconfigured Xtronic CVT with its wider gear ratio coverage and dynamic step shifting, you can expect to be blown away by Maxima’s performance and handling.

Luxury and Comfort to Match

Inside the new Maxima is a superbly crafted cockpit that is both sporty and elegant. With its console canted toward the driver’s seat, all of the instruments and controls are perfectly positioned and easily accessible. Remote Engine Start with Intelligent Climate Control is another extravagance offered on this new Maxima. Premium Ascot-leather seating is standard on the Platinum trim level, as are the zero-gravity heated and cooled diamond-quilted front seats. And if you’re looking for a view, the available dual panoramic moonroof gives front and rear seat passengers a wide open feel.

Standard technology features in the new Maxima include NissanConnect™ with Display Commander® dial for easy control of the entire system. Navigation is standard across all models, along with the rearview camera. A large 8-inch color multi-touch screen gives a view of the full range of tech features, while Nissan’s Advanced Drive Assist® Display provides key information at a glance. An AroundView® parking monitor is available on upper trim levels.
